BREAKING NEWS - If Carowinds has a flaw, it's the absence of any traditional water rides. No log flume, no rapids, no shoot-the-chutes. That flaw will be fixed in 2027 with a record-setting flume ride!

Lots of sites said today was going to be a major announcement day for Six Flags. So far, this is all that's been released, but it does involve our local park ... Holiday in the Park is back for 2026!

BREAKING NEWS - Lake Winnie is adding a new ride this summer! Well, new to them, at least. The former "Kombo" from the Indianapolis Zoo is finding a new home in Rossville as "Lookout Safari". No exact opening date has been set yet, but we'll be sure to share it when we know more!

A new coaster is coming to the Atlanta area! Frankie's Fun Park, which has locations in North and South Carolina, is opening a location in Cu***ng in 2027. It's not confirmed exactly what the coaster will be, but it very likely is an SBF Visa spinning coaster.

BREAKING NEWS - Major update from Six Flags as they announce that seven parks are being sold to a group called EPR Properties. Notable in this is one of the parks being sold is one of the three founding Six Flags parks, SF St. Louis. Read more about what and why this is occurring here:

BREAKING NEWS - Silver Dollar City announces that Thunderation (Arrow Mine Train) is retiring after this upcoming season. This is one wild coaster, and if you haven’t experienced it yet, you at least have a lot of time to head out to ride it. The press release’s language is making me wonder if something similar is coming in its place.
