Our hearts are still so full from our beautiful Grandparents Day celebration! Our children welcomed their grandparents into their classrooms, shared special snacks, created beautiful pieces of art, and even painted alongside them—making memories we know will be treasured for years to come. 🌸

We were especially touched to have grandparents joining us virtually from around the world, reminding us that love knows no distance. 🌎❤️

Yesterday, our 2s, 3s, and Kinder children rolled up their sleeves and got busy in the kitchen as they made special cookies for their grandparents!

What may look like “just baking” is actually a rich learning experience. As children measured, poured, mixed, rolled, and used cookie cutters, they practiced early math, fine-motor coordination, vocabulary, following sequences, problem-solving, and independence. They also experienced the joy of creating something meaningful for someone they love.

At KLA, we believe children are capable of more when we give them real experiences and opportunities to take an active role in their learning. The best part? They made something with their own hands to share with their grandparents. 💕🍪

Today we are celebrating a very special milestone — Ms. Alfa’s 3-year anniversary with KLA Schools of Sweetwater! 💛
Over the past three years, we have had the privilege of watching Alfa grow from a wonderful classroom teacher into the incredible Administrative Coordinator she is today. Her journey is a reflection of her dedication, hard work, and genuine love for our school community.

Alfa has a special gift for nurturing relationships. Whether she is welcoming a family in the morning, helping a child through a big feeling, supporting our teachers, or making sure the countless details behind the scenes are taken care of, she brings warmth, patience, and care to everything she does.

Our children know and love her, our families trust her, and our team knows they can count on her. She has become such an important part of the heart of our school. ❤️

At KLA Schools of Sweetwater, assembly is not a time for children to simply sit and listen. It is an opportunity for them to participate, lead, communicate, and learn from one another. 💛

Children may help lead a song, share an idea, demonstrate something they have learned, answer questions, or take an active role in our group experiences.

Through these moments, children are developing confidence, language, listening skills, leadership, and a sense of belonging.

We believe children learn best when they are not just observers, but active participants in their own learning. Because for us, education is not only about what children learn, it is about who they become along the way. ✨✨
