It might not feel like it, but fall officially arrives in Austin tomorrow. 🍁🌗 At exactly 7:05 p.m. CDT on Tuesday, September 22, the sun will cross the equator heading south, marking the astronomical start of fall and bringing day and night to nearly equal length.

And yes, it’s still very much giving summer outside. 🥵 But this marks the official seasonal switch, with daylight continuing to shrink as we head toward the winter solstice.

The September equinox is also the last equinox until spring returns on March 20, 2027. 🍂
