Whether you are brand new to culinary or have been working in a kitchen, the UNITE HERE Local 7's Worker Training Center Culinary Apprenticeship is now open for student applications. This training includes hands on learning, classroom time, and job placement support into union wage jobs with benefits.

The Culinary Apprenticeship is FREE. Students will have the opportunity to:
👉Learn French Cuisine
👉Receive state recognized certification
👉Receive job placement or career opportunities support
👉Learn essential skills and interview skills
👉Receive resume assistance
👉Receive industry scrubs

Students must be:
✅18 years of age or older
✅Authorized to work in the US

Last Wednesday, BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport workers went to Annapolis to deliver a message to Governor Wes Moore: food service workers at state-owned BWI are struggling to get by on airport wages.

Governor Moore has a responsibility to act—not just talk—when it comes to ensuring that one job is enough for all workers, including airport workers, to live and raise their families on.

UNITE HERE Local 7 showed up to support our members at Ocean Downs who are fighting for a fair contract with Churchill Downs!

Then we hopped over to Salisbury to support public employees who collective bargaining rights are being threaten by their mayor and city council!

The vast majority of non-tipped workers at Ocean Downs made less than $40,000 last year, less than 60% of the income the Economic Policy Institute’s Living Wage calculator says is necessary for a single wage earner to support themselves and one child in Wicomico County.

Support Ocean Downs workers who are standing for a fair contract!
