Some exciting news: The Island Explorer will begin two of its routes early on May 20th. This will include the Gateway Center to Bar Harbor route (which will include stops at Hadley's Point Campground and the Hulls Cove Visitor Center), and the Park Loop Road Route. We are thrilled to have these two routes start a month early. All routes will be running beginning on June 23rd.

Happy New Year! 🎉 We’re already dreaming of campfires, salty ocean air, and starry skies—and we can’t wait to share it all with you at Hadley’s Point in 2026! Whether you’re returning for another stay or camping with us for the first time, we’re so excited to help you kick off a new year of adventures.

Sara and Allison will be taking phone reservations on Friday, January 2, and Saturday, January 3, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Online reservations will begin on Sunday, January 4.

Our regular winter office hours will start on Monday, January 5, and are as follows:

Mondays: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Tuesdays: 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Wednesdays: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Thursdays: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

What an amazing season 2025 has been. We know that it would not be possible without each and every guest that comes to visit. From near and far we love that you have chosen Hadley’s Point as your resting place . And then there is our fantastic staff that does life with us from May to October (and beyond). Campfires have been reinstated in Bar Harbor starting today.

All campfires should be ensured to be fully extinguished. Drown the coals with a generous amount of water, Stir the ashes and water with a shovel or stick to thoroughly mix them and ensure all embers are exposed to water, Feel the entire area, including the ashes, the ground around the fire pit, and any rocks, using the back of your hand, Repeat the drowning and stirring process if you feel any warmth.

We still remain in drought conditions, but the overnight rain and forecasted rain will dampen the chances of rapid wildfire growth for a few days.
