As we get closer to opening day, here are a few quick FAQs about Acadia in April to help you feel confident in your arrival!

Is Acadia National Park open? 🌲
Yes! The park is open year-round, but many areas are limited early in the season.

Can we drive the Park Loop Road? 🚗
The Park Loop Road is scheduled to open fully on April 15th!

Are hiking trails open? 🥾
Most trails are open, Jordan Cliffs Trail, Penobscot East Trail, Precipice Trail, and Valley Cove Trail are closed to protect nesting peregrine falcons. Conditions can be muddy, icy, or snowy—especially at higher elevations. We recommend proper footwear and caution.

Can we drive up Cadillac Mountain? 🏔️
The road is closed until mid-May this year for construction. Hiking trails are still accessible!

Are carriage roads open? 🚴
The Carriage Roads are currently closed for spring thaw or mud season. Hiking Trails remain open.
