⚾🥎 THE COUNTDOWN IS ON! 🥎⚾

Tomorrow, we officially kick off the inaugural season of Bayou Parish Sports League, a community led developmental league in St. Mary Parish.

What started as a vision to provide more opportunities for youth athletes across our parish is about to become a reality, and we couldn't be more excited.

✅ 15 Teams and counting.........

✅ Players from communities all across the parish

✅ Dedicated coaches committed to player development

✅ A summer filled with opportunities for learning, growth, confidence, and fun

This season isn't just about baseball and softball. It's about creating an environment where young athletes can develop skills, build friendships, gain confidence, and fall in love with the game.

A huge thank you goes out to our incredible coaching staff, volunteers, parents, and supporters who have helped make this possible. The excitement surrounding this season has been amazing, and we're just getting started!

Bayou Vista, LA 70380 (Spray Park open-$4 admission fee)

🕙 10-12pm (Baseball ⚾️)
2-4pm (Softball 🥎)
5-7pm (14u-16u Softball 🥎)

All players should bring:
✔️ Glove
✔️ Bat
✔️ Water bottle
✔️ Positive attitude and lots of energy!

Softball players should also bring their face mask for evaluations. Shorts can be worn.

Draft Day is an important step in creating balanced teams and ensuring every athlete has the best possible experience this season. It's also a great opportunity for players to meet coaches and begin their journey with the league. It is NOT MANDATORY; but highly encouraged.

☀️💧 SUMMER SAFETY STARTS BEFORE PRACTICE! 💧☀️

As temperatures continue to rise, keeping our athletes safe is a team effort.

We've put together a Summer Safety Newsletter filled with important information for parents and athletes, including:

✅ Hydration tips
✅ Heat illness warning signs
✅ How to prepare before practice
✅ Injury prevention strategies
✅ Healthy pre- and post-practice nutrition ideas
✅ Important parent reminders

One of the biggest takeaways: Hydration starts long before your child steps onto the field. Drinking water throughout the day, getting proper rest, and eating a healthy meal or snack before practice can make a huge difference.

Please take a few minutes to read through the newsletter and help us keep every athlete safe, healthy, and ready to learn.

A few of our dedicated coaches would like to extend an invitation to 14u-16u softball players to join our developmental league and give this group an opportunity to get some work in this season.

This summer, we will begin hosting workouts and development practice sessions for athletes who are serious about improving their game and competing at a higher level. Our goal is to provide quality instruction, skill development, and competitive training while working toward a potential showcase opportunity at the end of the summer.

This program is ideal for players who are motivated to grow their skills, challenge themselves, and prepare for the next level of competition.

Draft Day is just around the corner!

📣 Draft Day is Sunday, June 14th! 🥎⚾

We are excited to kick off our inaugural season with Draft Day!

This event gives coaches an opportunity to get to know our players and evaluate their skills so we can create balanced teams focused on development, learning, and fun. Every registered player will be placed on a team.

✅ Bring your glove
✅ Bring your bat
✅ Bring a water bottle
✅ Softball players must wear their face mask

Parents are encouraged to stay, meet our coaches and league staff, and learn more about what we have planned for the season.

We can't wait to see our athletes on the field and officially begin this exciting journey together!

What began as an idea to provide more opportunities for young athletes to learn, grow, and develop has turned into something truly special. The excitement among our team is incredible, and we have been working hard behind the scenes to create a fun, organized, and impactful experience for every player.

We're just getting started, and we have some exciting announcements, events, and opportunities coming soon.

🥎⚾️ The Excitement Is Building as we approach 100 signups! ⚾️🥎

We wrapped up another great coaches meeting, and one thing was clear—you could definitely feel the excitement among everyone involved.

Our coaches are energized, engaged, and ready to get started. We've assembled a great group of individuals who share a passion for teaching the game, developing players, and creating a positive experience for every child who joins this community league.

As we continue planning for the summer, we're excited about everything we have in store. From skill development and team-building to fun competitions and game-day experiences, this league is being built with the players in mind.

What makes us even more excited is seeing kids from across the parish come together to learn, compete, and grow.

⏰ Our initial registration closes Sunday, May 31st so we can begin forming teams. We will leave registration open after that date, but you may be placed on a waiting list.
