🌈 If you've always wanted to visit the Land of Oz this is the news you've been waiting for.

After being closed following Hurricane Helene, the Land of Oz is bringing back Autumn at Oz this year—and presale tickets go on sale June 25th.

This unique event takes visitors down the Yellow Brick Road through the mountains of Beech Mountain during peak fall color season. Along the way, you'll encounter characters from the Wizard of Oz, themed experiences, and one of North Carolina's most unusual attractions.

If you're interested in going, I'd recommend planning ahead. Autumn at Oz has a history of selling out quickly, and with this being the first event since reopening, I expect tickets will be in high demand.

Near Boone, North Carolina you and your dog can hop on a tube and float the beautiful New River with “Wahoo’s Adventures” for one of the most relaxing outdoor experiences in the High Country. Operating from a six-acre outpost on the South Fork of the New River near Todd, this family-friendly adventure lets you drift through a scenic river valley surrounded by rolling mountains, green pastures, wildflowers, and some of the prettiest countryside in western North Carolina. The New River is one of the oldest rivers in North America, and its slow-moving waters make it perfect for a peaceful tubing trip.

The all-day tubing pass is one of the biggest highlights. After a leisurely 2- to 3-hour float, a shuttle brings you back to the outpost, where you can head right back out for another run if you want to spend the entire day on the river. Along the way, keep an eye out for birds and wildlife while enjoying the quiet beauty of the valley. Cooler tubes are available so you can bring drinks and snacks along, and river tube paddles can help you steer through gentle bends in the river.

Wahoo’s welcomes visitors of all ages, and even dogs can join the adventure. Beyond tubing, the outpost also offers kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, camping, and a unique treehouse rental.
