Stay in my condo while enjoying the most quaint Christmas town. Beechmtnzen.com.

A visit to Banner Elk, North Carolina during the Christmas season is about as magical as it gets! From December 4th–6th, 2026, this beautiful little mountain town hosts “A Small Town Christmas,” a three-day celebration filled with old-fashioned Christmas fun! Friday evening begins with Christmas carols, hot chocolate, and the lighting of the town’s Christmas tree at Corner on Main Park. Saturday brings a full day of activities, including Breakfast with Santa, a Reindeer Run 5K, holiday markets, ornament making, cookie decorating, and a community Christmas carol sing-along. One of the biggest highlights comes Saturday evening when the Christmas Parade of Lights travels down Main Street with glowing floats, decorated vehicles, and even pets dressed for Christmas! Afterward, families can enjoy miniature train rides through glowing luminaries, Christmas lights, and visits with Santa. You can also warm up beside fire pits with hot chocolate and Christmas treats, visit nearby Apple Hill Alpaca Farm for holiday tours, or catch “A Banner Elk Christmas,” a musical variety show featuring more than 35 Christmas songs! Sunday brings opportunities to visit nearby choose-and-cut Christmas tree farms.

Mother Nature made her own special plans for this weekend. While we can't control the weather, we can change a date.

Fall Festival is POSTPONED - and our new date is now FRIDAY, October 16th from 5-7PM. We're still offering the same activities... now with sunset views.

We are on the lookout for volunteers. If you are willing, we'd love to have you ring in the fall with the coolest rec department in town.

Thanks!
