Henry Richardi built the Grand Victorian in 1895 in the Queen Anne style, the turret and wraparound porches you spot from the street. One room in the house carries that name.

Richardi Park is our next-door neighbor, close enough that the Balcony Room looks right out over it. Walk back from dinner downtown and the path takes you past the river, where a calm evening lets the water hold the whole sky.

The park shares its name with Henry Richardi, who built the Grand Victorian in 1895, so this corner of Bellaire has belonged together for a long time. Fall evenings come on earlier and cooler, and a slow lap around the water with a jacket on is a good way to finish the day. Rooms are open for the season.
