The Reality: We are locally family-owned and operated! The independent boutique spirit we started with is exactly what drives our

Myth vs. Reality: The History of The Chrysalis Inn & Spa. ⏳⚓️

The Myth: Our hotel was a quick, modern development that popped up by tearing down or replacing an old Fairhaven neighborhood landmark.

The Reality: The stunning building you see from the boardwalk today was completely built from the ground up on previously empty terrain! We partnered with the exceptional team PearsonBuildersPNW to bring our vision to life. Before we opened our doors in 2001, an incredible amount of labor went into carefully leveling the land, stabilizing old industrial terrain, and safely filling the old mines beneath the site.

Every architectural curve, glass window frame, and seaside terrace was intentionally designed to blend seamlessly into the natural, historic beauty of the shoreline.

We are proud to have transformed an empty piece of Fairhaven's history into the peaceful waterfront escape you know and love today. 🌊🏗️
