Karaoke Night is happening in Father Luke’s Room on June 19th, and this is your official invitation to stop singing into your hairbrush and upgrade to a real microphone.

Recently reviewed and officially endorsed by a very important panel of critics: local 3rd graders (we see you, Mrs. Haye’s class 👀) 🍿✨

Their verdict? Our movie theater is the restaurant recommendation. And honestly… they’re not wrong.

Couches you can actually sink into, pizza and snacks delivered mid-movie, and the kind of “this is way better than regular movie theaters” energy that adults try to explain but kids just instinctively understand.

No notes from the experts. Just certified by tiny critics with big opinions. 🍕🎬

43 years ago, a single pub opened its doors and set off a chain reaction of places, people, and stories that keep unfolding to this day. 🍻✨

On June 13th, we celebrate that journey: where it began in 1983, and all the spaces that found new life along the way.

Like Old St. Francis School, a place with roots that stretch back to 1936, when it first opened as a parochial school serving a growing Central Oregon community. It remained a cornerstone of downtown Bend life for generations before eventually closing as a school in 2000.

When McMenamins reopened it in 2004, the goal wasn’t to rewrite that history, but to let it be seen. The classrooms, halls, and gathering spaces still echo with the layers of what came before.

That idea, honoring what a place already is while letting it become something new, is exactly what this anniversary is about.

On June 13, we’re celebrating 43 years with:
🍻 All-day happy hour on 1983 Lager pints
🥔 All-day happy hour on Cajun tots
🎟️ A just-for-fun Passport stamp

Because every place in this story had a life before us and it still matters after.

When the bar says “welcome”… you don’t argue. You sit down. 🍺Because at that point, ordering a pint isn’t even a choice....

Not to worry. Around here, faces tend to appear in unexpected places. Walls, windows, artwork, tucked-away corners, and out of the corner of your eye but you're not sure it was really there... once you start noticing them, you’ll see them everywhere.
