A window seat, add a little ambiance, and somehow plans go from “one quick drink” to “well, look at the time.” 😅

That seems to happen at lot at the Fireside Bar.

Bend, our theater doors are open to you with free, family-friendly movies today and tomorrow. ❤️

We know our community is carrying a lot right now and we wanted to offer a small place to land.

With schools closed Monday, October 19th, and Tuesday, October 20th, Old St. Francis School will be opening our theater from 10am–3pm both days for free, family-friendly films.

Bring the kids, come as you are, stay for a little while, or stay for a movie. There are no expectations. We just want to provide a space to be together, take a breath, and feel a little less alone.

Bend, you are surrounded by so much love. We’re grateful to be part of this community, and our doors are open to you. ❤️

The temps are taking a dip this week, which means it's officially the season of saying “just 20 minutes by the fire” and emerging two hours later. 🔥

Our hearts are with the Bend community as we navigate this heartbreaking time. We’re holding the students, families, educators, and everyone affected close in our thoughts.

In moments like these, we’re reminded of the strength, compassion, and love that make this community so special. Bend is showing up for one another, leaning on one another, and coming together when it matters most. There is so much love in this community, and we’re grateful to be a small part of it.

One of the things we’ve always believed in at McMenamins is the importance of neighborhood gathering places. To have spaces where people can connect, find comfort, and feel less alone. Now, more than ever, we’re reminded of how much that sense of community matters.

We’re grateful to be part of a community that shows up for one another, especially in the hardest moments.

Bend, we’re holding you close in our thoughts. ❤️

BIG NEWS IN B**R! Vance, our brewer from McMenamins Old St. Francis School, took home a silver medal for his Icy Fog Hazy IPA in the Juicy or Hazy IPA category at the Great American B**r Festival this past weekend! This category is the 2nd largest in the festival, so we're SO proud 🏆🍻

If you're looking to get your hands on a pint, there's a tiny bit left, and you can find it while it lasts at the Broom Closet. The last of it is being sent to McMenamins 23rd Avenue Bottle Shop. Vance will be brewing more this winter as it's a winter b**r, so we'll keep you posted when it comes back!

Here's a little bit about the b**r itself:
🍺Tropical Fruit, Candied Oranges, Herbal Dankness
🍺Malts: Pilsen, White Wheat, Oat Malt, Flaked Oats, Chit Malt
🍺Hops: Columbus, Riwaka, Nelson Cryo, Citra, Citra Hyperboost, Mosaic
🍺ABV: 6.71 IBU: 35

Two bands, two rooms, one very good Halloween plan. 👻🎸

Old St. Francis School is bringing the party with Dad Bods in the Theater and Brother Gabe’s Flashback to ’76 Band in Father Luke’s Room. One ticket gets you into both shows, so you can bounce between the bands all night long.

Dress in your Halloween best for a chance to win a $100 gift card in the costume contest!

Swipe for your Halloween plans, then head to our website for all the details!

Some people turn their hobbies into side hustles. We turned ours into b**rs that stock our taps. 🍺

Add good food, unique art, and historic buildings with a lot of intruige and we now have a place that welcomes the neighborhood.

That's a pretty successful hobby.
