Bring the whole family to the **Elk Country Visitor Center** for an afternoon of Halloween fun, games, treats, and more! Best of all, it's **FREE and OPEN TO EVERYONE!**

🎃 Costume parade led by Benny the Bull Elk at 2:00 PM
🚗 Public Trunk or Treat from 3:00–4:00 PM in the Clemens Outdoor Classroom parking lot!

**🚗 WANT TO JOIN THE TRUNK OR TREAT FUN?**
Put on your costume, decorate your vehicle, load up on candy, and join us! We welcome families, businesses, organizations, and community members who would like to participate by handing out treats.

Whether you're decorating a trunk or bringing the little ghosts and goblins to collect candy, we'd love to see you there!

Horse-Drawn Wagon Ride Schedule 🐴

Join us for a relaxing evening ride through Pennsylvania’s beautiful Elk Country!

▪️Thursday, October 22nd - 3:00, 4:00 and 5:00pm
▪️Friday, October 23rd - 3:00, 4:00 and 5:00pm
▪️Saturday, October 24th - (LAST RIDES OF THE SEASON) 3:00 and 4:00pm

🎟️ Tickets are $25 per person. Children under age 1 ride FREE.

Tickets go on sale at 10:00 AM on the day of each ride. Guests purchasing tickets in person will be served first, followed by phone reservations at (814) 787-5167.

Seats are limited and rides fill quickly—We look forward to seeing you in Elk Country!

🦌🍂 WAIT… THERE'S A SECOND ELK RUT?!

Just when you thought the excitement of Pennsylvania's elk rut was winding down, you might be hearing those incredible bugles echoing through Elk Country again!

So, is there really a second elk rut? Well… sort of! Here's a little Elk Country education for you!

🍁 Round Two! Cow elk that weren't successfully bred during the peak rut in September may come into heat again approximately three weeks later, creating another opportunity for breeding.

🦌 The Younger Ladies! Some younger cow elk may become ready to breed later in the season, adding to the October activity.

📣 Still Bugling! Just because you hear a bull bugling doesn't necessarily mean he's looking for love! Bulls also bugle to communicate, locate other elk, and remind rival bulls who's boss!

The bottom line? While there isn't technically a true "second rut," October can still bring plenty of exciting elk activity throughout Pennsylvania's Elk Country!

🍂 And here's the best part: The fall colors, cooler temperatures, and occasional sounds of bugling bulls make October a beautiful time to visit the Elk Country Visitor Center in Benezette!
