🩷 SMALL CREW. BIG HEARTS. 🩷

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it a thousand times over.

We might be a small operation out here at the foot of North Mountain, but the crew at Central Park Hotel is, and always has been, something pretty dang special.

Case in point?

It’s Tuesday. We’re closed.

And what are some of our people doing on their day off?

Coming in to deep clean our back cooler, pull out all the shelving, and help me SPRAY PAINT THE RACKS PINK. 🤣🩷

Heck, Frank even suggested we paint the DOOR pink.

THEY GET ME. 🤣🤘

But here’s the part that really gets me.

They approached ME about doing this project.

I didn’t ask. They just wanted to do it.

And THAT is something you can’t put a price on.

Running a big old hotel in the middle of nowhere isn’t always easy. There’s always something to fix, something to clean, and approximately 47 projects happening at any given moment. 🤪

But having people beside you who genuinely care about this old girl? Who take pride in her and want to be part of making her better?

That’s everything.

They love this place just as much as I do. And just as much as all of you.

And that is truly a blessing.

So here’s to the people behind the scenes who make Central what it is.

💡⚡ NICOLE SAID, “LET THERE BE LIGHT!”

And approximately TWO YEARS later, she finally got around to installing the things. 🤣🤣🤣

Better late than never, right?!

We’ve been on a mission these past few months to tackle some long-overdue projects around this big old hotel of ours.

Owning and operating a building that’s been standing since the 1800s is a constant adventure in figuring out how to bring her into the modern world without losing all the things that make her special.

And lately, we’ve been focusing on making this old girl a little more energy efficient!

💡 We’ve replaced our second-floor hallway lighting with energy-efficient LED panels.

⚡ Eliminated an ENTIRE cooler we no longer needed after some serious kitchen reorganization, thanks to our main girl Leanda!

☀️ And TODAY?! Finally installed these giant solar lights that have been collecting dust in the garage for TWO YEARS.

TWO. YEARS. PEOPLE. 🤣

Listen, the to-do list around here is approximately 47 miles long, and every time we cross something off, I swear three more things magically appear.

It’s not always glamorous owning an old hotel. Sometimes it’s hauling things out of storage, climbing ladders, reorganizing kitchens, and trying to figure out how to make a nearly 200-year-old building operate a little smarter.

Little by little, we’re making improvements that will hopefully help this old girl keep standing strong for another hundred years.

Preserving the history while improving the future. ❤️

WELL, HOLY RIBS, BATMAN. 🤣🔥

Yesterday - RECORD BREAKER at the old hotel.

We SOLD OUT of ribs by 6:30PM. SIX. THIRTY.

What the heck?! 😂

I’ll admit it. We weren’t quite prepared for THAT one. But holy moly, are we grateful. 🙏

When I rolled outta here around 6:15 to head to Aiden’s football game, I took one look at the packed house, saw the line forming at the door, and immediately started calling in reinforcements. 🤣

And you know what?

Our crew handled it.

To the staff who holds down the fort every Friday night so I can be there for my son’s football games, who rolls with the punches, tackles the unexpected, and keeps this big old hotel running when things get a little wild… THANK YOU.

And to every single one of you who showed the heck up last night, waited patiently, filled our tables, and supported this little place out here in the mountains…

THANK YOU. Truly. 🖤

We’re learning. We’re growing. We’re making adjustments. And I’ve already got about 47 ideas bouncing around in my head for how we’re going to make next Friday run a little smoother. 🤪

There are so many positive changes happening behind the scenes right now, and while we work through them, we appreciate your patience more than you know.

Our goal has always been pretty simple.

Good food. Fresh ingredients. Good people. And a place that feels like coming home.

And apparently… A WHOLE LOTTA RIBS. 😂

BUT ENOUGH ABOUT YESTERDAY.

IT’S PRIME RIB SATURDAY, BABY. 🥩🔥

We’ve got a beautiful prime rib slow roasting, mashed potatoes in the works, and seasonal roasted vegetables ready to round out your dinner.

And if prime rib isn’t your thing?

We’ve got REUBENS.
We’ve got PICK PLATES.
We’ve got MG’s famous DESSERTS.
We’ve got a whole lotta food coming out of that kitchen.

The only thing we DON’T have right now is booze.

We’re still rolling with the punches, still finding our footing, and still showing up every dang day to make this place something special.

It’s Rib Night round here, and normally I’d be telling y’all about Frank’s amazing ribs…

BUT HONESTLY?!

MG HAS STOLEN THE SHOW. 🤣

💅🏼🔥 THE ADVENTURES OF COAL STOVE BARBIE CONTINUE… 🔥💅🏼

She’s beauty. She’s grace.
She’s got coal dust on her face. 🤣

Her hair’s a mess.
Her outfit’s questionable.
Her living conditions are rustic.
And her heating bill? Surprisingly affordable. 🤪

Coal Stove Barbie got up this morning ready to tackle her day, patiently awaiting her next coal delivery and supervising operations at the old hotel. 💅🏼

Just a friendly reminder that while we’re CLOSED Tuesdays & Wednesdays, that doesn’t mean we’re sitting around doing nothing!

🍂 THE HUNTERS ARE BACK… AND SO ARE A COUPLE OLD FAVORITES! 🦌🤘

It’s that time of year again out here at the foot of North Mountain!

The leaves are falling, the hunters are rolling into town, and we figured it’s about dang time we brought back a couple of your old favorites.

THE PICK PLATE & THE REUBEN ARE MAKING THEIR TRIUMPHANT RETURN! 🙌

Because sometimes you just need a good old-fashioned plate of meat, cheese, pickles, and all the fixins. Or a dang good Reuben sandwich. 😉

We’ll be slinging both of these beauties TODAY from NOON–8PM!

But don’t you worry… Leanda’s been cooking up some pretty hilarious new spins on those four little letters, so stay tuned.

One thing I’ve learned running this big old hotel in the middle of nowhere is that sometimes you’ve gotta get creative, roll with the punches, and figure out how to make the best of whatever life throws your way.

And that’s exactly what we’re doing.
