I’ve worked in hospitality a long time and trained more people than I can count. There are absolutely things you can teach procedures, service standards, how to handle guests, how to solve problems, how to manage expectations.

But there are some things you just can’t train into people.

You can’t train someone to genuinely care.
You can’t train warmth.
You can’t train that natural desire to go above and beyond just because it’s the right thing to do.

You can encourage it and lead by example, but real hospitality comes from the heart. Somewhere along the way, too many businesses started hiring only for experience and forgot to hire for kindness, sincerity, and personality too.

At the end of the day, guests may forget what brand of coffee you served or what procedures you followed perfectly… but they will always remember how you made them feel.

That’s right , we’ve officially decided to invest in our four-legged guests too, because let’s be honest… they deserve a vacation just as much as their humans do.

Front-Row Seats to History: Crystal Bridges Opens Its New Wing
June 6–7, 2026 · Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, 600 Museum Way · ~3 miles / 8 minutes from The Block

Some weekends in Bentonville feel like the whole town leans in a little. The first weekend of June is going to be one of them. After years of anticipation, Crystal Bridges is throwing open the doors to its brand-new 114,000-square-foot expansion — and they’re inviting all of us to come celebrate. Free, no tickets, just walk in. If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to visit Bentonville, this is it.
What to expect

The Opening Celebration runs Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. Two big debuts anchor the weekend: Keith Haring in 3D — the first exhibition focused entirely on Haring’s three-dimensional work, with sculptures, totems, masks, skateboards and painted boomboxes — and Yayoi Kusama’s mirrored installation My Heart is Dancing into the Universe, alongside her new Narcissus Garden on campus. Throughout the weekend, expect live music and dance, wellness sessions, and hands-on artmaking inspired by Haring. In partnership with Jazz at Lincoln Center, you’ll catch pop-up performances all over the grounds, plus a featured live concert in the Hub on Saturday night.

At about three miles away, The Block puts you eight easy minutes from the museum entrance — close enough to pop back for a midday break before heading out for dinner on the Square. Park once, explore the new wing in the morning, lunch at Eleven, then loop back through the sculpture trail in the cool of the evening. No traffic, no parking stress, no missing out.
