Located in Berks County, Camp Swatara brings in summer campers of all ages each year to get away from the busyness of life by living in community with friends and connecting with God and nature. Campers live in cabin groups with peers and friends of their own age and gender, spending a week together under the care and supervision of a trained and certified cabin counselor. In addition to summer camp, Camp Swatara also makes available an extensive Family Camping Center, complete with over 140 campsites, where families and church groups can spend an extended period of time camping in the great outdoors (tents, RVs, etc). Fun activities like boating, biking, fishing, and gaga are all a part of what makes a great experience at our Family Camping Center. 🎆 Join us at Camp Swatara for a 4th of July Fireworks Celebration! 🇺🇸

Everyone is invited to the Family Campground on July 4th for an evening of community and fireworks beginning at 9:00 PM.

This event is open to the public and there is no admission cost. We will gladly accept donations to help support the event and future campground activities.

Big & Small Camp has been canceled due to low registration.

We know this may be disappointing news, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We would also love for you to consider joining us at one of our upcoming camps!

Campers who still wish to attend this summer are welcome to register for Maples Camp, taking place June 28–July 2. While this camp does not include the "Big & Small" format, it offers a wonderful opportunity for campers to enjoy all the fun, friendships, and experiences that camp has to offer.

We also encourage families to come out to Camp in the Family Campground to experience all the amazing things we have at Camp Swatara.

We are urgently seeking additional nurses to help staff our Summer Camp Medical Team this summer. We currently need a second nurse for the following camp weeks: Monarch I: June 7–11 and Monarch II: July 5–9

Our camps cannot safely operate without adequate medical coverage, and we need caring medical professionals to help make these experiences possible for our campers.

A big thank you to the team from Conestoga Log Cabin for spending their Wednesday, May 20th, serving at Camp Swatara!

Their boss generously gave the employees a half day to volunteer, and they used that time to help finish mulching the tent sites in the campground just in time for the holiday weekend.

We are so grateful for their support, hard work, and servant hearts. The team did an amazing job, and their efforts will help make the campground welcoming and ready for all of our guests this weekend.
