The Binghamton Morris Men and their guests from Boston, New York City, and elsewhere will put on free performances of colorful morris dances during the weekend of April 25-26, 2026. Performances will be at the following times and places:

Saturday, April 25
10:30 AM – Commercial Street, Gilbertsville NY
12:30 PM – Pathfinder Village, Edmeston NY
3:15 PM – Pioneer Park, Cooperstown NY
4:45 PM – Council Rock Brewery, Cooperstown NY

Sunday, April 26
Noon – Commercial Street, Gilbertsville NY

Please join us as we celebrate the spring and shake off the dark and gloom of winter with dance, music, and song. Performances will be free of charge, but voluntary donations will be welcome.

Morris dancing is an old English country tradition from the rural villages near Oxford. The Binghamton Morris Men have performed nearly every April in Otsego County since 1977.

The Binghamton Morris Men of Binghamton, NY and their guests, the Newtowne Morris Men of Boston and the Bouwerie Boys Morris Dancers of New York City, will put on free performances of colorful morris dances on the weekend of April 25–26, 2026.

Performances will be at the following times and locations:

Saturday, April 25th

10:30 AM – Commercial Street, Gilbertsville, NY
12:30 PM – Pathfinder Village, Edmeston, NY
3:15 PM – Pioneer Park, Cooperstown, NY
4:45 PM – Council Rock Brewery, Cooperstown, NY

Sunday, April 26th

Noon – Commercial Street, Gilbertsville, NY

Morris dancing is an old English country tradition. Its origins have been forgotten, but there are references to the morris from the 15th century. The dances to be performed come from the rural villages near Oxford, England.

The Binghamton Morris Men, founded more than 50 years ago, have performed nearly every April in Otsego County since 1977.

Having looked at the schedule more closely, this Saturday's performance will probably start around 8:00 PM rather than 8:30 PM.

Our mumming group, the Champeons of Folly, can be seen twice this holiday season.

Saturday, December 20 at the Cranberry Coffee House inside the Binghamton Unitarian Universalist Church (183 Riverside Drive). We will perform during the intermission of a concert by our friends "Bells & Motley", The exact start time is a bit flexible, but should be around 8:30 PM.

Saturday. January 3 at the Ithaca Twelfth Night Celebration inside the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Ithaca (306 N. Aurora Street). The exact start time will again be flexible, but we should start at or a little after 8:30 PM.
