It is with profound sadness that Bishop Elks Lodge No. 1603 announces the unexpected passing of our dear Brother, Judd Alan Symons.
Judd lived a remarkable life of service โ just like his father, the great John Symons, before him. From his early days as a sheriff cadet and EMT, through founding Symons Emergency Specialties (later Symons Ambulance) with his family, Judd dedicated over 35 years to protecting and caring for our community. As a paramedic, flight medic, dedicated teacher and mentor in the local EMT program, and tireless provider of standby medical support at countless local events, rodeos, parades, and beyond, he touched countless lives with his steady hand, calm presence, and unwavering commitment.
Our Lodge will deeply miss Juddโs dedication, his generous spirit, and the example he set for all of us in the Elks and the broader community. His legacy of service will continue to inspire us.A Celebration of Life will be held this Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Bishop Elks Park, with an honor procession beginning at the Bishop Airport. All are welcome to pay their respects.
Rest in peace, Brother Judd. You served with honor, and you will never be forgotten.
