Though VRBO attempted to create complete chaos this morning by LYING to our guests and telling them that we cancelled all their reservations and tried to bully several of them into not receiving their full refund, we have been able to adjust to every one's reservation and (so far!), everyone has been promised their full refunds (sadly with at least a few making multiple calls to VRBO!).
Thank you to all our guests who had to be informed this morning that they had lost their vacation rental with us (another lie!), causing anyone to panic. Thank you for your patience and understanding and know, that you will not have to deal with that again!
We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and is enjoying the summer!
Here is a testimony from Nikki, who actually started this entire mess:
"I want to start off by saying that every member of our party was impressed and commented on the cleanliness of the cabin. The location is beautiful. We have all been friends for 20 years and have made a point in recent years to designate a weekend to spend with just the 4 of us and have some deep belly laughs, making a tradition out of it. The location and scenery of Serenity Lake was ideal. We saw 2 snakes: a pine snake and a bull snake. Never have I seen snakes that size in the wild — and we watched one skate across the lake! Kayaking, we saw a fawn and doe by the shore — magical. That evening, another doe walked up to us (past the deck) when we were all at the fire. We just froze and watched her before she scurried off. My friends were enamored with the 2 ducks. On the last day the mallard was without its mate, and we are hopeful it turned up and they are tootling around again going from cabin to cabin to say 'hi."
