The transformation is officially in motion. There is nothing quite like watching new life being breathed into a historic space. Our team is hard at work restoring The Gables House on our campus, and every day brings us one step closer to the grand reveal.

A major highlight has been watching the team carefully bring in a stunning piano that will soon fill these historic rooms with music during future retreats, weddings, and private events.

Memorial Day carries a profound weight within our walls. For decades, our property has stood as a neighbor and partner to the military community just down the road at Fort Pickett. Today, we stand in remembrance of the heroes who laid down their lives for our country.

In our lobby, we have set a “Fallen Soldier Table” as a physical reminder of the empty chairs left in homes across America. May we never take their sacrifices for granted, today or any day.

Life is officially returning to The Gables House. 🏛️ Originally the President’s house on our campus, this historic treasure hasn’t been in use for years, but that is all about to change. We have officially begun a thoughtful restoration to transform the house into a premier destination for corporate retreats, government officials, and wedding parties. We are meticulously restoring the original columns, grand staircase, and century-old wood floors to ensure its architectural legacy shines brighter than ever. Stay tuned as we breathe new life into this storied space!
