Walking to my car, I encountered a family checking in. Mom was in the car with a young son and daughter, kids standing in the parked car with their heads out the skylight. Almost like a modern day Norman Rockwell painting. Dad was checking in.

The little boy proudly told me they were going to Silverwood the next day and how excited they were to be going there. He told me all about his favorite ride and how his sister was still too young to go on that ride and besides, it would be wayyy too scary for her.

I waved goodbye at the end and got into my car feeling joyful that this family was having this vacation.

Multiply that by thousands a year. That’s what makes Stoneridge AND Silverwood so special.

Over 600 structures lost to the fires this weekend in Spokane, Wa.

So many of our owners live in Spokane. Our prayers go out to all of Spokane residents who were affected by the fires this weekend.

Fire officials said it could take up to a week to assess how many homes were lost in the fire.
