Camp families please take note starting June 1st

NYS Route 17K Detour – Between Union School Road and Old Route 17K - Full closure begins Monday, June 1, 2026 for approximately two months.

We are pleased to update you on the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) project to replace the culvert (C85075A) carrying NY State Route 17K over the stream, between Union School Road and Old Route 17K in the Town of Montgomery/Town of Crawford NY.

This culvert replacement will require a full closure of State Route 17K at the project location with a posted detour. During the course of the replacement, travel across the work area will not be possible. Vehicles will be required to utilize the detour provided. The following map is of the detour for reference. Pedestrian traffic will be accommodated by the on-site accessible shuttle, which will drive pedestrians around the work zone. Signage will be placed to communicate this service.

The current schedule shows the contractor beginning the full closure of Route 17K at the project location on Monday, June 1, 2026.

Motorists are requested to utilize local signed detours. As with all work zones and detours, please slow down and pay attention to all signage and roadway instructions, including flaggers.

Emmett will be setup tomorrow by the office selling some Sabrett hot dogs to raise money so he can buy a new custom Lacrosse helmet!
Will also make another post but Emmett will also be hosting an animal food/supply drive to support the Middletown Humane society and earn his leadership badge towards National Junior Honor Society!
