Ransburg Scout Reservation is 624 acres of adventure, beautifully situated on Lake Monroe. Summer programs are provided for all Scouts BSA members and leaders.

Ransburg Scout Reservation is 624 acres of adventure, beautifully situated on Lake Monroe, the largest lake in the State of Indiana, and nestled in the Hoosier National Forest. Sailing, water skiing, horseback riding, ATV’s, Personal Watercraft activities, hiking, nature trails, returning back to enjoying time under the stars, and more await each Scout who spends a memorable week or more at Ransburg every summer.

This week for Merit Badge Monday we are featuring the ATV Adventure Program!

One of our many offerings for older Scouts in your unit, ATV is for Scouts who are 14 or older. Participants learn how to operate an ATV safely and then ride out to explore camp. In order to participate, Scouts must have a signed permission form and have completed the ASI eCourse online before their class (https://www.ransburgbsa.org/atv). ATV riders must also wear a long-sleeve shirt, long pants, and sturdy ankle boots.

🔁 Can't get enough of camp in one week? Come back and do a Ransburg Repeat to double your adventure. 🔁

A Scout who wants to attend more than one week of camp can take advantage of our Ransburg Repeat program. For a discounted fee, the Scout can choose a second week of camp to attend. Scouts will be treated as Provisional Scouts and we will connect that scout with a Troop for their repeat week.

🐎 Horses are here, which means summer has officially started! 🐎

Come down to the Ranch this summer to check out the new riding arena! Ranger Stephen and many volunteers including our Ranch Committee, current and former Ranch staff, and even some of this year and previous year's campers have been working hard to get the new arena ready for riders this summer, and we are thrilled to be ready to offer this improved space for our riders this summer!

This week for Merit Badge Monday we are featuring the Water Sports Merit Badge!

Scouts who are 13 or older and have passed their swimmer's test can sign up for the this exciting merit badge. Water sports are a fun and exhilarating way to enjoy being outdoors while developing strength, coordination, and fitness. Scouts will have extreme fun on waterskis or wakeboards, but also learn all about how to be safe while doing so.

This week for Merit Badge Monday we are featuring the COPE program!

Scouts who are 13 or older can sign up for the COPE program. Here at Ransburg, we have both high COPE and low COPE elements set right into the beautiful backdrop of our edge of the Hoosier National Forest. Scouts will try out the challenges of both over the course of the week! Fun fact: COPE stands for Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience, and is focused on "challenge by choice". Don't miss out on the fun or the challenges!

Leading our High Adventure staff this summer is James Martin! High Adventure includes COPE, Climbing, ATV, and RansburgX. James' favorite merit badge to teach is swimming, but he enjoys everything on the lake. This summer, he is most looking forward to running the COPE area!
