Our congratulations go out today to Luke Lorentzen, our friend and the director of Boatbuilders. Boatbuilders is Luke’s latest documentary that focuses on the craftsmanship of wooden boatbuilding based here at Brooklin Boat Yard, and it premieres this evening at the Venice Film Festival.

Such a relief that this state-designated area of scenic beauty and important wildlife habitat didn’t become the locale for multiple McMansion-style houses for wealthy non-natives. There’s a housing shortage in the area but the need is for AFFORDABLE housing.

How to make the most of your experience for our summer music festival:
* Tickets for reserved seating are available online anytime and and approx. one hour before the concerts on the porch of the Concert Hall.
* Tickets for the lawn are available for $15. Purchase at arrival and enjoy the concert from anywhere on our lawn.
* Students 18 and younger are free but must be ticketed for festival concerts.
* Due to the noise disruptions, our campus driveway closes promptly at the concert start time and reopens at the end of the performance.
* No photography or videos during the performances.
