Lake George is frozen! As we head into a very cold and snowy weekend for much of the United States we’ll be thinking of our guests and hoping that everyone stays safe and warm!

Our 2025 season is over, but we still have a lot of work to do! If you’ve stayed with us or read our reviews then you know we have a reputation for very clean cottages. And that doesn’t happen by accident!

Each of our 19 cottages will get a very thorough cleaning before getting closed up for the winter. The walls and ceilings get wiped down with Murphy’s oil soap, every piece of furniture and appliance gets moved and cleaned under, around, and on all sides, the bathrooms get an extra thorough scrubbing, the kitchens are turned inside out, and everything gets packed away in storage bins. It takes 2-3 people about 5 hours to deep clean each cottage.

By November we’ll have all the outdoor work to do: clean up leaves and pine needles, clean the gutters, wrap the gazebo and playgrounds in tarps for snow protection, drain water out of the cottages, deploy the ice bubblers to protect the docks, cover the charcoal grills, and more.

After all of that we can finally enjoy the holidays and a family vacation before preparing for our 2026 guests.

We want to thank our many wonderful guests who treat our cottages like their own, and who respect our efforts by cleaning up after themselves during their stay.

We want your input! 😃 The maple tree next to the firepit at the lake sadly has to come down because it is dying. So... should we plant another tree in its place? 🌳 Comment below:

Yes, plant another tree nearby to replace it.
No, an unobstructed view of the lake is better.
