Maintenance on a 25 year old cabin can be a bit on the more expensive side! Installing new windows is our current project and upcoming projects include a cleaning and new stain on the logs and siding.

A day in Blowing Rock enjoying the Art in the Park event held monthly. And followed up by a concert in Wilkesboro. Eagles tribute! The rain ended just before they came on stage giving us a beautiful rainbow. Check out the next Art in the Park September 7 and then again October 9!

Mr. And Mrs. Robin were quite the confused pair. Mrs. Robin started a nest at each rafter because she couldn’t quite decide. Mr. Robin meanwhile kept flying into the glass door 😂. Apparently they’ve abandoned setting up housekeeping altogether 🤷🏼‍♀️

Our frog pond has finally warmed up after the spring cold snap. Our little frogs have been sunbathing and swimming happily. And the pickerel w**d is starting to grow again. Look at the ice from just a couple weeks ago!

It’s always fun to watch the deer visit our front lawn. We’ll be cleaning out our frog pond within the next couple weeks and get the waterfall running again. Perfect time to book a stay 😊
