A little history, a little mystery, and a whole lot of Boston atmosphere. 🍂

Just a short walk from The Godfrey Hotel Boston, the historic Granary Burying Ground is one of the city's most fascinating landmarks. Established in 1660, it's the final resting place of notable Revolutionary-era figures, including Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, and John Hancock.

With its weathered headstones and autumn colors, it's an especially atmospheric stop during Halloween week.

Sometimes the best way to discover Boston is simply to wander through its history.

Start downtown, pick a direction and see where the day takes you. Boston is especially good at rewarding a little aimless wandering this time of year.

Sunday energy. On a Monday.
Today Boston observes Indigenous Peoples’ Day, a day to recognize and honor the Indigenous peoples and communities whose history and presence are part of Boston and the region.
It's also a long-weekend Monday, which makes it a good day to experience the city a little differently. Start slowly, wander without much of an agenda, and perhaps learn something new about the place you're exploring.
Monday will still be there tomorrow.

Baseball season comes and goes, but Fenway is part of Boston year-round. Wander the neighborhood, stop into a local bar, walk Lansdowne Street and get a look at America's oldest major league ballpark.
It's another side of Boston that's easy to explore from our downtown home base.
