We’re excited to welcome Matthew Curry and Lilly Lynch to the Big Sandy Lodge team as our Lodge Attendants for the 2026 season.

As Lodge Attendants, they’ll be helping with guest service, lodge upkeep, meal support, and the day‑to‑day rhythm that makes life in the mountains work. Their roles are essential to the comfort of our guests and the flow of our crew, and we’re grateful to have them joining us in July as we head into another busy summer.

Now Hiring: Seasonal Wranglers/Guides (June–October) in Boulder, Wyoming

(Remote, Off‑grid, Horse‑supported backcountry lodge, 1 to 2 positions available)

We’re a small, hardworking crew operating at the edge of the Bridger Wilderness. Our wranglers are the backbone of guest experience and stock care. If you thrive in remote settings, love long days in the saddle, and take pride in doing things the right way, you just might fit right in.

A simple reminder for anyone heading into the mountains:

Look up. Check your surroundings. Don’t linger under dead or leaning trees.

Standing dead timber, beetle‑kill, and root‑loosened trees can fall without warning — even on calm days.

Before you stop to rest, set up camp, tie stock, or take photos, take a few seconds to look up and around you.

We heard several trees crashing in the surrounding area of the lodge all day yesterday, more than usual, so be aware!

We’re excited to welcome Luann Pettit (a local to our area) to the Big Sandy Lodge team as our Housekeeper for the 2026 season.

Her role is essential to lodge operations and guest comfort. We’re grateful to have her joining us as we head into another busy summer in the mountains.

If you’ve ever stayed with us, you know the lodge kitchen is the heartbeat of Big Sandy — early mornings, steady timing, and meals that keep guests, guides, and crew going strong from sunup to sundown.

We’re grateful to have Ruth Nistico join us this season, fulfilling this role!

Be sure to say hello when you see her in the lodge — she’s a big part of what makes this season possible.

Long days, early mornings, and unpredictable weather is all Big Sandy. You need the kind of teamwork that only happens when everyone shows up for each other. William Hale fits right in.
We’re grateful to have him as a wrangler/guide with us this season. If you see him riding out with guests or working horses in the corral, be sure to say hello!

Welcome back, John Lindsay!

John is returning for his third season at Big Sandy Lodge, and this year he’s switching things up — stepping into the role of Grill Cook.

If you’ve stayed with us before, you already know the consistency he brings to our kitchen.

We’re grateful to have him back for another summer in the mountains.
