Lake Gaston is one of the truly most outstanding lakes in the country. It is over 20,000 acres of "high quality" water, 34 miles long, and approximately one and one half miles wide at the lower end of the lake. Lake Gaston is well stocked with game fish including striped bass or rockfish, large mouth bass, crappie, sunfish, and several varieties of catfish. Other species of fish sometimes caught a
re walleye, yellow perch, and chain pickeral. A valid license for Virginia or North Carolina permits fishing in "the lake" in either state, from boats or shore, in waters accessible by boat. No license is required for those under 16 years of age. Located at: 9 Lakeside Lane, Bracey, Va. 23919

FROM THE NORTH: Take I-85 south to Exit 4 (Bracey, Lake Gaston) at Exit 4, turn left on Rt. 903 and go East 5 miles. Our entrance is on the right. FROM THE SOUTH: Take I-85 north to Exit 4 (Bracey, Lake Gaston) at Exit 4, turn right on 903 and go East 5 miles. FROM THE EAST: Take VA Rt. 58 west to South Hill, Va. Then take I-85 south to the next exit, Exit 4. At exit, turn left on Rt. 903 and go east 5 miles. FROM THE WEST: Take VA Rt. 58 east to South Hill, Va. At the exit, turn left on Rt. 903 and go east 5 miles.
