Want something quiter? Check out these underrated gems. 🌴
🐚 Coquina Beach at low tide
Most people come here for the beach, but the real magic happens when the tide goes out.
Low tide reveals wide sandbars, shallow pools, and some of the island's best shelling. It's the perfect time for a peaceful beach walk, spotting sand dollars and unique shells, or simply soaking in the views with fewer crowds.
Check the tide chart before you go. It makes all the difference.
🌿 Grassy Point Preserve
One of the island's most underrated nature spots, this 33-acre preserve features a scenic boardwalk and nature trail winding through coastal scrub, oyster bars, tidal flats, seagrass beds, and wetlands filled with red and black mangroves.
It's the perfect place to slow down, spot native birds and wildlife, and experience a quieter side of Anna Maria Island that many visitors never see.
📌 Save this for your next Anna Maria Island trip.
