If you are a camp counselor and would like to take a horse instructor certification, let me know. We may do it right before First Session of camp 2027.
I have been taking a great Bible study class taught by Karen Koon on the 12 disciples and have really loved studying about each one and seeing which disciple I may have some of their traits. Let me know if you are interested and I will send you my notes.
I am sure your mom or dad shared with you how important our daily attitude is. My dad used to talk to me a lot about my choices like to smile or not, to have a good attitude even when it may not be easy as well as he defining and redefining work ethics and how to chose the right guy, and have Jesus in my heart. Here is a paper I saved that he shared with me about my attitude a long time ago. It was written by Charles Swindoll. Let me know if you like it.
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money ,than circumstances, than failures, than successes than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we embrace for that day. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I an convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you... We are in charge of our attitudes. We are also in charge how we choose to use our day. Each of us have 24 hours. We have options: Time with God, Smile or not, Good attitude or not, worry or not, gossip or not, and our list could go on.

Again, I am so proud of Sarah Smart on her adventure to France, Switzerland and Germany to paddle with her Pink Dragon Ladies who competed world wide ( and won many of her events) with other International Cancer Survivors. ( Marissa Gardner a past Camp Dovewood Sr, Counselor was also in Sarah's group)
Let me know what you are doing. I am putting a fountain in the Dovewood pond and some lil fish. I'm also getting a guy to help me clean up Angel's pasture starting sometime this week. WOW!
Let me know what books you are reading. I just finished a neat book called," Twelve Ordinary Men" . How the Master shaped His disciples for greatness and what he wants to do with you. I am also reading John Mark Comer's book , "The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry". I tend to hurry too much.
Here are some songs I like: Holy Forever by Chris Tomlin, Oceans where feet may fall by Hillsong . What songs do you like?
Let me know if you read about any of the Disciples. I think it is beyond cool that the disciple James as he was being led to be killed by a guy, he actually witnessed to him and this fellow got saved. Our words can be amazing. Here is a neat verse: Ps 34: 4 "I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears."
Much love,
Mrs. Richmond
