We Are Overwhelmed by Your Kindness ❤️

We want to take a moment to thank everyone for the incredible support, kindness, and compassion you have shown over the past several weeks.

Whether you donated, sent a card, shared a message, said a prayer, stopped by to check on us, or simply thought of us and Indigo, please know that it meant more than words can express. The love shown by our guests, friends, neighbors, local businesses, and the entire community has been truly overwhelming.

Indigo was more than our "Manager in Training"—he was family, and seeing how many lives he touched has brought us comfort during this difficult time.

Thank you for standing with us and for reminding us how fortunate we are to be part of such a caring community.

Today we share some difficult news from our Sandpiper family.

We said goodbye to Indigo.

He was more than just a part of our days here—he was a bright presence, a source of comfort, and brought so many quiet moments of joy to those who met him and those who followed his journey.

In his final days, we focused on what mattered most: keeping him comfortable, surrounding him with love, and giving him simple, meaningful moments.

We are incredibly grateful to this community for the kindness, compassion, and support you showed throughout his journey. It has meant more to us than we can fully express.

Sandpiper will feel a little different without him, but we carry his spirit with us—in the small moments, the warm welcomes, and the love we share with everyone who comes through our doors.

Bucket List Day 4 💙

Hey friends, it’s Indy 🐾

Today was a really special one.

I got to greet some customers who were here on the very first day I was at Sandpiper. We’ve known each other a long time, and seeing familiar faces like that makes my tail wag every time.

I made sure to say hello properly, collect my pets, and spend a little time soaking up all the love.

It felt comfortable. Familiar. Happy.

Those are my favorite kinds of days 💙

Indy loves his friends at Menards.

Bucket List Day 3 💙

Hey friends, it’s Indy 🐾

Today I went to Menards… one of my favorite places.

I’ve been going there almost every week since I was just 8 weeks old, so it feels a little like home to me.

There are SO many things to sniff, but the best part is seeing all my friends who work there. They always make me feel special, and I love seeing them just as much as they love seeing me 💙

I made my rounds, collected lots of pets and smiles, and took my job as official greeter very seriously.

Pretty perfect day if you ask me 😄
