Perhaps you know people who still fondly refer to Bridgeport as Big Meadows. They would tell you about the bountiful opportunities to fish for some of the finest trout in America. You can discover relaxing natural hot springs, refreshing trails to hike, bike or snowshoe in the winter, and thrills on trails meant for off-road vehicles like dirt bikes, atvs and snowmobiles. There are even nice areas for aerial sports, like hang gliding. Bridgeport is surrounded by mountains so any direction you choose to travel from gives you the chance to glide along mountain roads and follow curves that open up to vista after vista of stunning views. Motorcycle club members could tell you about the freedom you’ll feel just traveling here. Walker River Lodge is unique because it is the only hotel situated right across from the local landing strip of Bryant Air Field. Fly in and cross the bridge to the property, it’s just a short walk. Walker River Lodge is the perfect place to call home base for any of your adventures spending time with nature. There are comfortable rooms abundant with conveniences such as refrigerators, microwaves, DirecTV, free Wi-Fi. And if you have animal companions that travel with you they’re welcome at the Walker River Lodge.
