Update: Thickness of ice is around 18 inches (Caution Is Advised)
Fishing Report:
Bitter Lake: Hard Shacks and Portables on NW corner and on NE corner just off of campground.
Waubay Lake: Biting mostly at Grenville Entrance and scattered areas.
Walleye are biting at depth of 40 ft.
(Some people are driving on the ice, some are using 4 Wheeler, and others are using 4 wheeler with caterpillar wheels.)

Fishing report for December 28, 2016. Thickness of ice in areas is around 14 inches. There is a lot of snow on the lakes, so bring a shovel in case you get stuck. Watch out for ice heaves which is where the ice is very unstable. Some people are driving on the ice with pickups, but it is not recommended. Bulk of people going to Waubay Lake on Buckshot area. They've been catching walleye 15 to 18 inches. Others are going on Bitter Lake at the Northeast corner by the campground and north of there; west side of Bitter at the Northwest corner. Hello this is Jane. I manage the Lakeside Motel in Waubay. Due to ice storm we are staying here. This place is so awesome! I love the country setting. I think that anyone would enjoy staying here. Lynn Lake is just North of here; Waubay Lake is 10 miles from here; Bitter Lake is 20 miles from here. Staying here is worth the extra miles to the different lakes. Fishing Report for December 22, 2016. One the 20th people caught fish from Waubay Lake. Waubay seems to be the lake that people are going to. They're entering on South West of Buckshot area, Neal's Landing and heading south. There is hard shacks on Bitter Lake but not too many driving on the lake.
