If you are looking for something to do this weekend go check out the local Brockport High School Drama Club. Their fall production of Something Rotten! Beginning this Friday the 14 & Saturday and Sunday @ 2pm. If your worried about the drive back, have family /friends visiting town , or just want a small mini getaway. Come reserve a room with us. We are located just down the road from the school district on the corner of Main st and Centennial Ave.

Come See Brockport High School’s Upcoming Musical!

Have you ever heard the conspiracy theory that William Shakespeare was not the sole creator of all his works?

The musical “Something Rotten” took that rumor and turned it into a comedic show filled with song, dance, and various references related to Shakespeare’s works of his own, or other musicals!

Nick and Nigel Bottom—the main characters of “Something Rotten”—are playwrights who are trying to make it big in the Renaissance Era but keep falling short due to the masterpieces William Shakespeare manages to keep pumping out.

Coincidentally, Nick Bottom and named members of his acting troupe like Tom Snout and Peter Quince are characters pulled from "A Midsummer’s Night Dream," one of William Shakespeare's many plays.

This is written into the script intentionally as the writers wanted to illustrate how "Something Rotten’s" Shakespeare took inspiration from other people to create his hits.

Tickets for "Something Rotten" performed by the Brockport High School Drama Club are on sale online for $15 and will be available at the door for $20. Come see if you can recognize all the references made!
