Our Story
Our convenient central location permits scenic day trips to be planned with ease. There are many attractions Vermont has to offer while Birch Meadow has many onsite and local activities as well.
After 25 years in Real estate, Matt and Mary Comerford made the decision to retire. The Comerford's decided at that time that the hectic pace of Massachusetts was more than they wanted to subject themselves to, and started looking for some quiet and secluded property in the Central Green Mountains. It was there, in Brookfield, VT that they heard the mountains calling their names. They purchased 232 acres, and began building their log cabins and house with a B&B, thus Birch Meadow Log Cabins and B&B was born. They moved into the house, enabling them to manage their cabin rentals with a hands-on approach.
The Comerford's take great pride in their cabins. They are always striving to provide their guests with a most unique mountain experience. They would be honored to accommodate you and your families or guests, offering you a visit that they hope will surpass any previous stay you have had in the mountains.
Birch Meadow's all season Log Cabins are nestled in a private, woodland setting. Each cabin has the same architectural design, but have their own country style decor. Beautiful views compliment the surrounding area. All cabins have access to our beautiful pond where paddleboat rides can be taken.
All cabins have one bedroom, romantic loft, futon or pull couch, cathedral ceilings with paddle fans, wood burning stoves, satellite TV, and fully equipped kitchen. Kitchen includes pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc. The cabins have full bathrooms with tub/shower and all linens are provided daily.
