Amazing things are happening at the Florida Sand Music Ranch, and we are excited to see you back—we miss you!

There has been a lot going on behind the scenes, and we wanted to share a couple of exciting updates.

First, thanks to an incredibly generous donation from Steve Comptom in honor of his father, construction of our new Green Room behind the Main Stage is well underway. Jason and Tammy have been working tirelessly to bring this project to life, and we’re thrilled that our musicians will soon have a comfortable, air-conditioned space to relax and prepare before taking the stage. It’s another step toward making the Ranch an even better place for everyone who performs and visits.

We’re also grateful to Mike Trani for designing our beautiful new Main Stage sign. It is a wonderful addition to the Ranch, and we sincerely appreciate the time and talent he shared to help make it happen.

AND…. We’re also just days away from launching our brand-new Florida Sand Music Ranch website! This has been a project we’ve been working on for quite some time, and we can’t wait to share it with all of you. The new site will make it easier than ever to learn about our festivals, purchase tickets, get volunteer information, and stay connected with everything happening at the Ranch.

The future is looking bright, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back home to the Florida Sand Music Ranch. Stay tuned—there’s even more to come!

By 11:30 this morning, the tools were put away and another great volunteer project was in the books at the Florida Sand Music Ranch.

After flagging locations on Thursday and receiving the trees on Friday, 16 volunteers came together this morning and got the job done!

Together we planted 21 trees:�• 15 Pond Cypress in the new field section�• 4 Live Oaks in the park�• 2 Longleaf Pines down by Soggy Bottom

Teams worked on planting, staking, mulching, and installing irrigation. The only thing left is to periodically check the drip emitters to make sure they stay clear.

A huge thank you to all of our amazing volunteers and to the ‘Galley Slaves’ for providing an amazing lunch.

Days like this remind us what makes the Ranch special. Thank you to everyone who showed up and helped make a lasting impact.

Here is a message from Charlie White about the tree planting this Saturday at the Ranch. We certainly welcome a few more volunteers if you are able.

Hello everyone. The Ranch has an amazing resource in our dedicated volunteers. Without volunteers all of our projects would just be another idea. We completely rely on volunteers for practically anything that gets done around the Ranch!

Here’s the game plan:

On Friday morning, the trees will be delivered to the Ranch at 9 o’clock. We will use the tractor to unload, but we will need a couple of people to help load and unload the tractor.

The rest of the day will be spent using the tractor to dig the holes that will have been marked on Thursday.

I would like for us to meet about 8 o’clock Saturday morning at the kitchen to figure out a plan of attack for the day.

The tasks will be putting the trees in the hole, watering and backfilling, staking as necessary, mulching, and installing temporary above ground irrigation.

We’ll get as much done as we can before it gets too hot
And then break for lunch about 1 o’clock depending on how the day goes.

At lunch, we can discuss the remaining chores and the best way to tie up the loose ends.

What a fantastic and productive work weekend at the Florida Sand Music Ranch!

Thanks to an incredible group of volunteers, we successfully assembled all 50 picnic tables, cleaned out the creek, and completed a tremendous amount of pressure washing around the Ranch. The playground is looking great, and the bridges throughout the property have been cleaned up and refreshed as well.

Janson and I are so very thankful for everyone who came out and donated their time, energy, and hard work. Whether you spent one day or the entire weekend with us, your efforts were noticed and greatly appreciated.

We’re not done yet! We can still use a few more volunteers for our Tree Planting Day on June 20. If you’d like to help us continue improving and beautifying the Ranch, we’d love to have you join us. See the link below.

We are looking for 8 to 12 volunteers to help plant 20 to 30 trees at the Ranch on Saturday, June 20.

The holes will be dug by the tractor. It would be helpful to bring flat shovels and iron rakes to backfill with.

The Ranch will provide free camping on Friday and Saturday night and lunch on Saturday.

The Ranch is calling for volunteers for our Work Weekend on June 5–7 starting at 10AM each day!

We have several projects planned, including:
• Assembling picnic tables
• Pressure washing fences
• Cleaning out the creek

You are welcome to come for one day or all three days. If all projects are completed by Saturday, we will send out a notice that no additional help is needed on Sunday.

If you have any of the following items, please bring them along:
• Gloves
• Pruners
• Rake
• Shovel
• Boots/shoes conducive to working in the creek
• Drill
• Circular Saw

If you would like to stay overnight at the Ranch, please let me know and I will make arrangements for you.
