Our Story

Cart Barn Inn, owned by Kay Tyler, is a quaint and novel enterprise in North Mississippi, just outside the town of Bruce. Always welcoming with a 'Hey Ya'll' and warm Southern Hospitality, The Cart Barn Inn is a 10 room Hotel/Bed and Breakfast/Inn offering luxurious accommodations. We are conveniently located within easy drive of Memphis TN, Tupelo, Jackson, and Oxford MS.

Cart Barn Inn at Yoda Creek doesn't look like any inn you've ever seen. True to its name, the inn resides within a former cart barn - a huge, gray warehouse where a former golf course used to store its golf carts overnight. Owner and Innkeeper Kay Tyler has left the exterior of the barn largely untouched, which helps create what she's dubbed the "wow" effect - named for the word most spoken by guests once they've crossed the threshold and entered the charming, eclectic interior.

Kay's artwork lines the walls and corridors of the inn, lit by a string of holiday lights, while fresh flowers fill repurposed golf bags. Each of the inn's 10 rooms have their own sense of style; zebra-striped chairs occupy the Safari king, and a bombay chest sits in the Oriental queen. Rooms come with LCD TV, iPod docking station w/ clock radio, microwave, refrigerator, comfortable seating, computer desk & chair, & wireless high-speed internet.

Behind the inn, an expansive patio with swings, a TV, and more strung lights looks out onto the fenced-in gardens. There, azaleas and roses blossom around a welded statue of a golfer that was gifted to the inn - a fitting reminder of its unexpected roots. The courtyard includes a huge covered back porch with private swings, table and chairs and boardwalk to a alluring gazebo. This beautiful grass covered courtyard area is also available for weddings, receptions, reunions, and other gatherings.
