I think my favorite part about owning Gorgeous Stays is my morning coffee at The Lodge! It’s where I get to connect with guests. I get to hear about their yesterday, how peacefully they slept last night, and what today’s plans are.

“ It’s A Small World” story time…WingIt (Appalachian Trail Hiker from class of 24) stayed with us then. He recommended to one of his friends, Thrive, to stay with us while she completes her hike on the Appalachian Trail. Thrive and I were small talking on the way back from the Noc. I asked the typical “Where are you from?” Michigan. No way! We moved down from Michigan when we bought Gorgeous Stays. She said specifically East Lansing. No way again! I told her that our oldest daughter, Makayla, manages the coffee shop, Fosters, in East Lansing , MI. And I am not kidding you when Thrive says “My nephew owns Foster’s coffee!” What a small world!

It was an absolute joy to host you, Thrive! Happy trails!
