🌲 Ready to see the Smoky Mountains from a whole new angle? 🧗‍♂️💨
If you’re visiting Bryson City and looking to add a little adrenaline to your mountain getaway, the Nantahala Gorge has some fantastic opportunities to zip through the treetops, cross sky bridges and take in incredible mountain views!

One local favorite is Wildwater Ltd, their Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tour features 11 ziplines and 7 sky bridges, taking you through several different forest ecosystems with views toward Fontana Lake and the surrounding Smokies. They also offer rafting-and-zipline combinations if you want to turn it into a full adventure day.

Another great choice is , where the Mountaintop Zip Line takes you high above the Nantahala Gorge — at points more than 350 feet above the Nantahala River — with sweeping mountain views. Families can also check out their Treetop Adventure Park + Zip for a different kind of aerial adventure.
And if you’re up for a scenic drive during your Smoky Mountain vacation, near Scaly Mountain offers mountaintop zipline tours along with aerial adventures, a giant swing and other outdoor activities.

What a night! 🔎🕯️
Last night, we stepped back in time for The Angel’s Ledger: A McKinley Edwards Inn Murder Mystery, and our guests absolutely brought the characters to life.

There were secrets, suspicious alibis, hidden motives, plenty of accusations… and, of course, a murder to solve. Everyone came ready to play their part, and that is what made the evening so much fun.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped turn the Inn into our own little world of mystery for the night. We loved seeing the costumes, the conversations, the theories, and all the laughter along the way. Bravo everyone!

The ruby-throated hummingbirds have taken over McKinley Edwards Inn—and they are quite active!

They’ve been zooming around the property like tiny, over-caffeinated fighter pilots, chasing one another away from the feeders and loudly disputing property lines.

Guests are welcome to relax on the porch and enjoy the show. The hummingbirds are always welcome free of charge, but all human guests still need to reserve a room. 😂

Last night was one of those evenings we will remember for a very long time.
After months of planning and preparation, it was incredible to finally welcome Richard Smith to McKinley Edwards Inn. Richard performed flawlessly and was every bit as entertaining as he was talented. Between the music, stories, humor, and the way he connected with everyone in the room, he made the evening feel truly special.
We are especially proud of our staff. When unexpected challenges arose, everyone jumped in, worked together, and did whatever was needed to keep the evening running smoothly. Their teamwork, flexibility, and positive attitudes were a huge part of what made the event such a success.
Thank you to Richard for sharing his extraordinary talent with us, and thank you to everyone who attended and helped create such a warm and memorable atmosphere. Hosting an artist of Richard’s caliber in such an intimate setting was an experience we will never forget.
