Here is an opportunity to harvest a SR Cow Elk

Thank you to Porcupine Local District for the very generous donation of a 2026 season SRST cow elk tag to be used for fundraising. We will use the revenue generated to support student activities and academic success.
We have decided to accept sealed bids for this elk tag. Bids close on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 1:59PM CT.

The Standing Rock Game & Fish Big Game Lotteries are officially open today and will remain open through July 31, 2026. There are a few changes for this year’s drawings.

* $1,000 permit fee if drawn

🦌 Antelope

* 225 tags available
* $750 permit fee if drawn

Bull Elk

* $5,000 permit fee if drawn

* Hunters can log into their profile and place bids through the auction system.

We were contacted by John from Missouri regarding a buffalo shoot. Following a seven-day consideration period, John and his wife embarked on a trip to Rock Creek Local District. John's excursion proved successful, yielding this 🦬 bull. Upon arrival at the Four Directions Hunting Lodge, they settled into their cabin and took time to visit Standing Rock, appreciating its historical significance. Please join us in congratulating John on his buffalo shoot.

The Standing Rock Game & Fish 2026 Spring Turkey License ( https://gameandfish.standingrock.org/dates-and-fees/turkey-spring/ ) is now available for purchase! Prospective hunters are encouraged to book their accommodations in advance by calling 605-823-2326 to ensure availability. The 2026 season will commence with archery season on March 27, 2026, and conclude on May 24, 2026, while gun season will take place from April 10, 2026, to May 24, 2026.
