Thanksgiving plans are on the table at the Old Ray, and we’d be glad to be part of yours. Whether you pull up a chair with us or gather around your own table, we’ll take care of the cooking.

🍂 THANKSGIVING AT THE OLD RAY
Join us Thursday, November 26, from noon–7 p.m. for a three-course holiday meal: autumn squash soup and local greens to start, house-smoked turkey breast with all the trimmings, and a family-style dessert board worth saving room for.

$70 per person | $25 kids’ plate for ages 12 and under

🍂 THANKSGIVING TO TAKE HOME
Our turkey dinner for four is $79 and includes house-smoked turkey breast, mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing, green bean casserole, citrus cranberry relish, and sage turkey gravy. Add a whole bourbon pecan or salted caramel pumpkin pie for $25 each.

Order by November 21. Pick up at the Old Ray on Wednesday, November 25, between 2–6 p.m.

Let’s get Friday started with a great special at the Old Ray! Come in for our City Ham special — house brined and smoked Duroc bone-in pork loin, creamy grits, collard greens, and local apple sauce. We're open from 4-8pm both Friday and Saturday. Richard Banks play the Roland’s deck tomorrow night, October 24.

Bring your friends, pick a spot, and enjoy a cold drink and some live music together. We’re looking forward to a good evening of visiting.

A fall visit is nicer when the driving is for sightseeing only, and not for a drive home. Stay with us at the NuWray and leave yourself time to wander Yancey County’s scenic drives and Burnsville’s sweet downtown. Enjoy a meal and linger over a conversation. When you’re ready to turn in, your room will be waiting. We hope you’ll stay awhile.

Get the gang together this weekend and come visit us at the NuWray for a cozy meal indoors at the Old Ray or some fun outdoors at Roland’s. We’ve got a great special running this weekend — Nathan’s Gnocchi: Hickory Nut Gap soppressata, butternut squash, brown butter, sage, and crispy carrot.

The Preston Benfield Band plays tomorrow, Saturday, October 17 at Roland’s. Stake out a spot near the outdoor fireplace, get something to drink, and enjoy an evening of live music with friends. Sounds like a weekend well spent!

Unfortunately, Roland’s will be closed tonight due to the state of the weather. The upside is that gives you some time to start planning your costume for our Halloween costume contests!

We’ll have two opportunities to show off your costume craftiness on 10/31:
👻6:30-8pm at Roland’s, family-friendly contest while the Gypsy River Band plays and the smoker’s going with warm-up foods!
🧛‍♀️8-10:30pm in the The Washroom Bar, 21 and up contest

Both contests come with prizes, so take this rainy day to brainstorm a winning choice!
