We are very excited to announce the newest member of the Grandfather Mountain family! Everyone, please give a beary warm welcome to F***y May, who is now the park's newest and youngest black bear!

F***y is five years old and came to Grandfather Mountain in the spring of 2021. Ever since, the habitat staff has been working diligently to make her feel right at home! While she has become accustomed to her keepers, she is still a little shy around guests. For that reason we will slowly be introducing her to the on-display habitats throughout the year.
