This is our updated FAQ and pricing for the 2026 float season!

We receive a very high volume of messages and phone calls and do our best to get back to everyone as quickly as possible. To help speed things up, we’ve put together this FAQ to answer some of the questions we get asked most often.

If you have a question that isn’t covered, please leave a comment and we’ll be happy to answer it and add it to the list.

In Arkansas, you can hop on a tube and float the beautiful Caddo River with Caddo River Rats Kayak & Tube Rental near Arkadelphia! Located in Caddo Valley, this outfitter runs one route from the Lower Lake recreation area below DeGray Lake Dam on a beautiful section of the river. The float covers about 3 miles and usually takes around 3 hours, though it can last longer if you stop along the gravel bars to swim, eat, or relax. The water is cold, clean, and slow moving, which makes this a great choice for beginners, families, and groups wanting an easy river day without rough rapids.

Along the way, you get to enjoy one of southwest Arkansas’s prettiest rivers, a clear Ouachita Mountain stream known for its forested banks, rocky edges, quiet swimming spots, and laid-back feel. The Caddo is often seen as a quieter choice than the better-known Buffalo River, and this lower section gives visitors a calm, easy way to enjoy it. Rentals include tubes, kayaks, canoes, and cooler tubes, plus shuttle service to the launch point. You float downstream and end right where your vehicle is parked. On-site, you’ll find restrooms, a shaded picnic area, and a dock with stairs for an easier exit. Water levels depend on dam releases, so check their Facebook updates before going, especially in summer.
