Well, it’s Sunday evening of a very busy holiday! And we have been exceedingly blessed here at the Inn and part of a wonderful community.
We met our new young lawyer in town, Carter Horton whose law office is just across the street from us in the Main Street lofts. So kind and professional!
Welcome to Calico Carter!
We were honored to be “home away from home” to a family who had journeyed from Georgia and Oregon for a graveside service. This sweet family was under one roof and sat together around the breakfast table before heading out to celebrate and remember.
Lovely long time friends joined us for the first time and some returning. We were also fortunate to have some younger folk who wore their best spider man pjs for pancakes and eggs this morning ! And then there was the young couple for NWA who traveled all this way to find their newest four legged family member! And how sweet that they would stop by to let us see sweet lil Izzie! The best gift was to hear them say, being here was just like home!
Today also marked the Grand Opening of Main Street Mercantile! A collective of unique vendors, new and vintage! A wonderful addition to downtown!
And then, the rains came! Our yard has been so so dry! We are ever grateful for the rain! It has been so hot and dry. And even though the wind and rain caused the power to go out and left behind twigs and leaves like an errant child throwing a tantrum… we are grateful. Grateful to every guest who chose to stay with us whether for a solemn occasion, a joyous new pup, or… just seeking solace and rest. Thank you! Thank you for choosing Calico Riverview Inn. Until next time,
CRI
