It starts the way the best trips do, a quiet midweek drive into Calistoga, windows down, the valley going gold as the longest day of the year refuses to end. ☀️

You check in at Roman Spa Hot Springs Resort and feel your shoulders drop somewhere between the car and the first mineral pool soak. The afternoon stretches. Memorial Day weekend is just one day away, and Calistoga is already easing into its summer rhythm, pools warm, gardens in full bloom, tasting rooms pouring something cold.

A few rooms are still open for the long weekend, and the offer's still on the table: 15% off published rates on two-night stays, 20% off on three nights. Add a spa treatment 45 minutes or longer, and we'll take 15% off that, too.

Trade the to-do list for a slow soak. Swap traffic for a stroll down Lincoln Avenue with coffee and a hometown breakfast at Cafe Sarafornia, a bike rental from Calistoga bikes, a late afternoon glass at Picayune Cellars and ending the day soaking in our geothermal pools.
