On Sept 12, 2014, Diane Thomson and Rich Chandler bought a 44 acre, 50 site campground that was struggling to survive. We have big plans for the place... what we are saying is "New name. Formerly known as Deer Creek Campground, we renamed it Glacier Valley Campground. We have a fantastic bank that we are partnering with (American Bank in Fond du Lac) and have quite a few ambitious plans for expansion. Stay tuned to our site as we continue to unveil events, facilities, and ideas!

We just got word that a darker colored blue Chevy and a fifth wheel lost a fabric cover of some sort. it’s in the ditch on the left side of the road probably halfway between Larson road and the turn they took going towards Cambria in case you want it back. 😊

💗 Survivors Weekend 2026 — Giving Back

This year, we are proud to announce that all proceeds from our Survivors Weekend will be donated to the Spierings Cancer Foundation in Little Chute, Wisconsin. 💗

One of the reasons we chose this organization is because 90% of the money they raise stays right here in Wisconsin, helping families and communities affected by cancer.

Here’s where your donations go:
❤️ 40% → Financial assistance for Wisconsin families
❤️ 30% → Local cancer centers & medical care
❤️ 20% → Cancer research right here in Wisconsin
❤️ 10% → Fundraising & administration

The Spierings Cancer Foundation has already helped more than 1,400 local families and donated over $375,000 toward cancer research in Wisconsin.

When you participate in our Survivors Weekend—whether through the silent auction, 50/50, meat raffle, sponsorships, or other donations—you’re helping make a difference for Wisconsin families facing cancer.

💜 Survivors Weekend @ Glacier Valley Campground 💜

One of our most meaningful weekends of the year is coming up — Survivors Weekend.

Join us for a peaceful, beautiful, and supportive weekend as we come together to celebrate survivors, honor those we’ve lost, and stand beside those who are still fighting.

🎗️ Cancer survivors camp FREE!
🏕️ Cabins are available at 50% off for survivors.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family members, friends, and supporters are welcome — this event is open to the public!

💜 Help Us Give Back
This year, we are raising money for the Gilbert Brown Foundation, with proceeds benefiting cancer research organizations.

Throughout the weekend, we'll have:
🎟️ Silent Auction
💰 50/50 Raffle
🥩 Meat Raffle
🕯️ Luminary Lighting Ceremony

At the end of Saturday, we will light our luminary bags together — celebrating our victories, remembering those we’ve lost, and standing strong with those who are actively fighting cancer.

We are looking for donations of silent auction items, gift baskets, and other items to help us raise money for this important cause.
