Trap up. Claws out.

We took family and friends out on the Lively Lady last week — thirty minutes off the dock and everyone had the chance to hold (or kiss) a lobster they’d just watched come up in the trap. Crabs, lobsters, bait, an osprey, two bald eagles, and Curtis Lighthouse in the background the whole time.

This is the kind of experience that people of all ages appreciate (and we’re not going to lie - makes you want a lobster roll afterwards!)

Most visitors never realize you can skip the walk around the harbor.

The water taxi is free, leaves from the public landing (7 minutes from the inn), and runs Tuesday through Sunday, noon to 9, through Labor Day. Quick way across, or just a nice few minutes on the water. The walk’s lovely too — this is just the option most people don’t know about.

Lyman-Morse Wharf: The Wharf at Lyman-Morse, Salt Wharf Restaurant & Rooftop Bar, Blue Barren Distillery + Restaurant, Vacationland Coffee Roasters Camden, and Camden Charcuterie, all in one stop.
