Please help us welcome Shayli as our 2027 Lady-In-Waiting!

Meet our 2027 Lady-In-Waiting, Shayli Bruce! We are so excited to spend the next 16 months with Shayli, and especially look forward to reflecting on her growth in a year.

“Rodeo has shaped my life from the very beginning. My parents met through the rodeo community, so I can honestly say I owe my life to rodeo. ❤️

I’m Shayli Bruce, 19, from Scio, Oregon, and after more than 15 years in the horse and rodeo world, I’ve learned that my greatest passion isn’t simply participating—it’s serving.

Through 10 years of 4-H, four years of OHSET, youth riding instruction, volunteering, announcing, and serving as a 4-H co-leader, I’ve found a passion for leadership, mentorship, and creating positive experiences for others.

Today, I support individuals with intellectual disabilities while pursuing a degree in sociology at Willamette University with hopes of becoming a teacher. I also remain active in the horse community through a local drill and flag team dedicated to service.

Rodeo has given me lifelong friendships, opportunities, and a deep appreciation for the traditions that bring our communities together. I would be honored to represent the Clackamas County Fair & Canby Rodeo by welcoming guests, celebrating our western heritage, and helping create connections that inspire the next generation of rodeo fans. 🤍🐴”
