What’s the strangest thing a guest has ever left behind?
We’ve heard of forgotten phone chargers, socks, and the occasional leftover lasagna…
…but a full grocery store shopping cart in the garage?! 😳🛒
The nearest store is 10 miles away—so either someone really didn’t want to return it, or we’ve just hosted the world’s strongest (and most committed) pedestrian.

My sweet Emi asked to help flip the cabin to earn some spending money... I think I have our next Martha Steward on my hands. I can’t say she cleaned a whole lot but our guests will be treated with toilet paper flower pots!

Ground2Air Productions nailed it with the aerial photos of the cabin. I can not wait to share all in the interior photos with you. I can update the airbnb listing and finally create a direct booking site!!

A big thank you to Bruce Harper of The Door Pro for his timely and effective service. When the garage door at the cabin stopped working, Bruce responded quickly and had it operational in no time. It's always a pleasure to meet fellow Texans in the area. If you need reliable garage door services, call Bruce at The Door Pro at 719-821-3667. The Door Pro

Just minutes from Mountainside Hideaway, discover breathtaking views and serene paths on the local hiking trails. Perfect for nature lovers looking to reconnect with the outdoors! One of my kids favorites is Tunnel Drive Trail. Just a quick 10 minute drive to the trailhead.

Well, we are at it again, but this time year round. This amazing log cabin sits on 41 acres and backs to BLM and National Forest. Sleeping 13 (more if you include couch space and like my 11 year old would prefer a couch) with space for everyone to gather. Come explore the Royal Gorge Region!

A couple weeks are open in June and only one 4 night stay is available in July.
