James Michael (Mike) Gurganus, born February 14, 1948 in Goldsboro NC went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on January 31, 2022 in San Antonio TX. Mike Gurganus, loving husband of 46 years to Evelyn (Scott) Gurganus was a beloved father, Paw-Paw, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, and soldier. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Doris Gurganus, brother Kent, and beloved Uncle Buddy and Aunt Joyce Gurganus. Mike was a father to Michele Gurganus, George (Jacque) Gurganus, Erin (John) McLendon, and Leslie King. He adored his grandchildren (Jena, Matthew, Morgan, Madison, Sean, Emma, Bailie, and Jacob) and great-grandchildren (Artie, Gracie, Thompson, and Easton). Mike is also survived by his brother Tony (MaryBeth) Gurganus of Marianna FL, cousins (Jimmy, Sammy, Fred, Randy, Marie, Grace, Danny, Tammy, Ricky, Darlene), extended family, and numerous church, military, Masonic, and golfing friends.
Mike’s greatest honor was to serve his country and he retired as US Army Sgt Major after 27 years of service. He was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church, Canyon Lake Masonic Lodge (32nd degree), Alzafar Shrine, Valero Texas Open Tournament Leadership Council, and was a diehard Alabama football fan (Roll Tide).
The memorial service celebrating Mike’s life will be held at 5:00pm on March 28, 2022 at St Paul Lutheran Church, Bulverde, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Mike Gurganus Special Needs Fund for Bailie French at GoFundMe

Had a great Master Mason's Degree yesterday.

Reminder, our stated meeting is 1st Thursday of each month. Meat @ 6:30 P.M. meeting @ 7"30 P.M.

We are hosting a booth @ the Wurstfest this year, as in years past. If you are interested in helping, call our WM @ 210-850-6080. Free parking, entrance included for working a few hours then enjoy the Fest.

Canyon Lake Lodge No. 1425 Pork Butt Sale

This year we will be selling pre-cooked Pork Butts prepared by a BBQ Champion! The 6-8 lb. pre-cooked pork butts will be sold for $40 and must be ordered by May 25th, 2021. Please call 210-850-6080 to place your orders. We will have volunteers to deliver the Pork Butts to the local canyon lake area, if requested, or they can be picked up between 2-4 pm on May 29, 2021 at the Goff Plumbing Co. (13165 FM 306, Canyon Lake, TX 78133).
We will have a drive thru service for pickup.
At our May 6th stated meeting we will have sample of the Pork Butts for your tasting pleasure.

Due to COVID-19 The Canyon Lake Lodge No. 1425 Annual BBQ at the CRRC has been cancelled.

The Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Texas has, through discussion aides of the Governor or the Great State of Texas, has decreed we may now have regular stated and called meetings. This decree allows us to perform degree work, as long as we adhere to certain guidelines as stated by he Grand Master and Governor. If you have been waiting to become a Mason or to join a Lodge, "Come on Down" and we'll discuss it.
